Autumn Yankee Candle Haul
I am so anxious for Autumn to finally be here; today we had some really blustery weather here in the UK and I secretly quite enjoyed it. Yankee Candles has a lovely selection of Autumnal scents that I have been excited to try. They are all really interesting and not at all what I expected. Have a look at the different scents; when I think of Autumn I think of apples and spices, warmth and pumpkins…none of these are that but they are a really interesting take on Autumnal scents:
This scent smells like a warm, fruity aftershave; it’s lovely and fresh smelling:
Top: Bergamot, Grapefruit, Black Peppercorn
Mid: Lavender, Maple Leaf
Base: Vetiver, Oak
The Grapefruit definitely comes through and it’s a lovely scent but it doesn’t particularly smell like ‘Autumn’ to me.
This is a sweet, vanilla-fruit scent that’s quite light.
Top: Pink Orchid, Pink Lady Apple, Plum
Mid: Jasmine, Tea Rose, Freesia
Base: Patchouli, Creamy Vanilla, Spun Sugar
This reminds me of a fresh, dewy cold Autumnal morning. The apple scent is sweet and comes through quite strongly as does the floral note.
Yuuuum! This marshmallow scent is so sweet and toasty.
Mid: Crystallized Sugar, Vanilla Fluff
Base: Cedarwood, Glowing Embers, Firewood
I usually am not at all a fan of sweet scents - and this is about as sweet as it gets - but I love this fragrance as the slightly smoky smell underneath the marshmallow scent makes it feel so warm and cosy. I am surprised but I’m a real fan of this one!
Crackling Wood Fire
I love love loooove this candle! It’s like someone set some incense on fire and the smoky tone is lovely. It’s zesty and definitely Autumnal.
Top: Nutmeg, Myrrh, Cinnamon
Mid: Vanilla, Amber
Base: Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Smoky, Incense
This is a really beautifully balanced scent that’s cosy and warm. It’s my favourite of the Autumnal range.
This fragrance is rich and sumptuous. It’s described as a ‘walk through the woods’.
Top: Sparkling Citrus
Mid: Autumn Blossom, Fresh Cut Herbs
Base: Patchouli, Tonka Bean, Golden Amber
It’s a very musky scent and slightly fruity as well; rich and warm just like the colour of the wax. A very interesting take on Autumnal fragrance.
These Autumnal candles are quite unusual and different from what I was expecting. I really love how they are not Christmassy at all - sometimes Pumpkin Spice can smell quite festive and so these fragrances do not cross the Christmas line at all which I really like. They smell really beautiful when you burn them and make the room feel so cosy.
My favourite candle is Crackling Wood Fire. I think it’s the perfect Autumnal scent; so if you’re looking for your candle for this season, that would be my suggestion!
